I’m Gabriel Daverio but all my friends call me “Gab”.

I’m a cinematographer and a filmmaker based in Toronto, ON but born in Varese, Italy. I graduated in a film university: Film Institute “Michelangelo Antonioni”. In my university journey I met a lot of people with whom I built up a working relationship and essential friendship. I always excelled in group work and was considered a leader by my classmates. Dedication, perseverance and striving for perfection are innate characteristics that help me give my best in my work.

The work I have done so far includes short films, fashion films, documentaries, music videos, fashion films and commercials. I have always learnt a lot from my work and tried to get better and better with each new job. Over the years, I have played various roles in addition to director of photography such as director, camera operator, gaffer, 1st AC and focus puller. Roles that have made me versatile on set and willing to take on any job with great enthusiasm and passion.

Ever since I was a child, I have always had a great imagination and creativity. This job allows me to express myself to my full potential and, without a doubt, is very rewarding. I document and share my journey via my socials: YouTube and Instagram, in the hope that I can inspire other filmmakers and connect with other creators. My content focuses on showing who I am and how to improve one's experience as a filmmaker.
